What is a Learning Community? In the work setting, we see them in many places. In so many different types, in fact, that it is sometimes difficult to identify exactly what it is about, and how it is different from other types of collaboration where learning, working and innovation come together.

This position paper provides a framework that clarifies what exactly a learning community is (and what it is not). What types there are, and how they differ from one another. It offers a clarifying guide for both practice and research, so that we can better shape this (effective) way of learning, working and innovating and lead to better results.
