A. (Arthur) Bakker

I currently focus on embodied cognition as well as interest and attitude towards science and mathematics. A project on Interest in Science: Development Across Sites of Learning (ISDASOL)  started in September 2012 (with Akkerman). A NWO PROO project on promoting student attitude toward science and mathematics started September 2013 (meta-analysis). My main strands of research are further in statistics education and vocational education.I'm interested in philosophy of education (inferentialism) and embodied cognition. I work parttime at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences on embodied cognition (Leseman group) in collaboration with Dor Abrahamson (Berkeley).
